Director & Founder
Leah has been in finance for over 23 years, yet she still brings the same passion she did when she started. Leah leads with her heart, and that shows up in everything she does.
As a mortgage broker, she’s had the privilege of helping thousands of clients and it hasn’t just been a job, it’s something she genuinely cares about. Helping someone get the keys to their first home or helping an investor grow their portfolio never gets old. As a homeowner, she really understands what her clients are going through — the excitement, the nerves and the big decisions. She really will be in your corner, every step of the way.
Clients quickly become aware that they can call her, ask anything, and she’ll give it to them straight. With a personalised touch of kindness, truth and a kick of motivation.
When Leah is not making approval phonecalls, you’ll find her deep in a Pinterest rabbit hole, putting together mood boards, or rearranging soft furnishings. She is mad about home design, real estate, travel, fashion, and pattern — the bolder the better. She loves music, she loves to dance and she believes life should be lived with as much colour and joy as possible. That energy? She brings it to work too.
Alex Houston
MORTGAGE BROKER
Alex has been part of the Furious Finance team for over five years and is often the calm voice clients need when things start to feel overwhelming. He has a knack for taking complicated finance jargon and turning it into something that actually makes sense.
He especially enjoys working with first-home buyers. Buying a property can feel like a lot, and Alex loves helping people understand what’s possible and what comes next. No question is ever too small, and he wants clients to feel comfortable picking up the phone whenever they need to.
What clients appreciate most about Alex is that he’s easy to talk to. He’ll happily walk through the details, explain things a different way if needed, and make sure you feel informed rather than confused.
Outside of work, you’ll find him planning his next holiday, spending time at the beach, or hanging out with his husband and their pooch, Alfie.
Alex holds a Law and Finance degree from the UK, a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking, and is also a Commissioner of Declarations.
Lisa Sheard
OPERATIONS + CLIENT EXPERIENCE LEAD
Lisa has been working alongside Leah for more than 20 years and has been part of Furious Finance since the very beginning. If you’ve ever wondered how everything seems to run so smoothly behind the scenes, there’s a good chance Lisa has had something to do with it.
She genuinely loves looking after people and making sure clients feel informed, supported and never forgotten. Whether it’s answering questions, keeping things moving or checking in at just the right time, Lisa is often the person making sure the little things don’t get missed.
Having spent decades helping people through the home loan process, she knows it’s about much more than paperwork. Every application represents a new chapter, and she never loses sight of how important that is to the families and individuals she works with.
When she’s not at work, Lisa loves beach days with her kids, camping trips with friends and spending weekends watching rugby with her husband.
She holds a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.
